About the event

An Illustrated Talk by Jane Palm-Gold

In July 1979, Derek Jarman moved from his Butler's Wharf warehouse on the Thames, to a tiny flat in Phoenix House on Charing Cross Road. This talk explores his life and work there, his unknown ‘city garden’ and the series of life-changing events that led to his relocation to Prospect Cottage, Dungeness. Jane Palm-Gold is an artist, curator and historian of St Giles.
