Title: Lavender Marriages: A Brief Introduction by Tony Porter

Description: A  Lavender Marriage (LM) is a male/female mixed-orientation marriage  undertaken as a marriage of convenience to conceal the socially  stigmatised sexual orientation of one or both partners. His brief talk  will focus on Hollywood stars such as Rock Hudson, demonstrating how,  despite their fame and prosperity, many lived under threats of exposure,  blackmail, and other forms of humiliation.

Title: Nathan Evans reads from One Last Song

Description: Nathan Evans reads from his debut novella One Last Song,  published by Inkandescent. This uproarious and uplifting romantic  comedy about two older gentlemen who meet in a care home is one of the i  newspaper’s ‘Best LGBTQ+ Books for Pride Month’.

‘An enchanting romance—funny, touching, and inspiring’—STEPHEN FRY

Bio: Nathan Evans is a writer and performer. His poetry collection Threads was longlisted for the Polari First Book Prize 2017. www.nathanevans.co.uk
