Cultural researcher Shaun Wallace delves into local Black and LGBTQ History, by exploring the lives of 3 Social Activist Pioneers: Patrick Nelson, Ivor Cummings, Cecil Belfield Clarke and Stephen Bourne.

Through a ’conversational style’ illustrated presentation with Stephen Bourne 'Historian of Black Britain', (Black Poppies) we will discover the formidable lives and times of Patrick Nelson, Ivor Cummings and Dr Cecil Belfield Clarke; recounting their connection to Bloomsbury’s radical art, political and Intellectual circles in the 1930's.”

The world’s largest pride celebration for LGBTQI+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern-descent has continued to grow year-on-year. From a bus-load of attendees travelling to Southend-on-Sea to 10,000 people in Haggerston Park, UK Black Pride is proud to return to Newham, the largest space the organisation has occupied since its inception.

A social night of two halves with GaySocial: Before 10:30 PM they have exclusive use of the basement club bar for the social mixer and drinks party with other great members of the gay and wider LGBT community. At 10:30 PM, there will be a change of atmosphere and pace, as everyone moves up to the main bar at Ku, which will have a DJ and people can mix with other clientele, with the venue closing at 1 AM!
